PRN Melaka: Wawasan jangan dahului keputusan PN

As a newly formed party within Perikatan Nasional (PN), Wawasan was advised not to precede the PM's decision and to respect the ongoing deliberations concerning the PRN Melaka process. PAS Jasin Yang Dipertua, Kamaruddin Sedik, stated that as of now, the allocation of seats has not been formally discussed and there are no definitive statements on the matter.

Wawasan should not "overstep" and precede the decision that will ultimately be made. Trust the PM of PN to make the decision. As a newly formed member, Wawasan should only align itself with the decision that will be made later, it was reported by Berita Harian. Yesterday, Wawasan Vice President Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik was reportedly quoted as saying that PN might contest solo by placing candidates in all seats in PRN Melaka if they fail to reach an agreement with Barisan Nasional (BN).

He, who was also former Melaka Chief Minister, added that Wawasan will contest in DUN Bemban and Sungai Udang regardless of whether cooperation with BN exists or not during that election. Both seats had previously been won by Bersatu, which remains a PN component but is now at odds with PAS, the leader of the relevant coalition. The DUN Melaka term ends on the 30th of this month.
