Presley Gerber last public appearance: Cindy Crawford's son celebrated sister's collaboration with brand months ago

Presley Gerber, the son of renowned model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has tragically passed away at the age of 27, according to CNN. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the news, stating that the Los Angeles-based model died on Sunday while receiving treatment at a rehabilitation facility. The cause of death has not yet been officially determined.

Crawford's publicist confirmed the sad news to CNN, expressing the family's need for privacy as they grapple with this incredibly difficult and painful time. Presley was the eldest child of Crawford and Gerber, and he too followed in his mother and sister Kaia's footsteps into the world of modeling.

Born in California in 1999, Presley made his runway debut at the tender age of 16 for Italian fashion label Moschino. He went on to walk in numerous fashion shows, representing high-end brands such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. In addition to his modeling career, he also served as an investor and entrepreneur.

In recent years, Presley had been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse. In a 2023 interview on the Studio 22 podcast, he discussed his efforts to raise awareness around mental health, describing it as a significant part of his life. He also ran a "Mental Health Mondays" initiative and collaborated with organizations like Los Angeles homeless charity A Sense of Home.

Presley had previously spoken about his use of prescription medication in a video posted on Instagram in December. In the video, which has since been removed, he referenced experiencing significant loss and discussed taking antidepressants and Xanax for panic attacks. Crawford responded to the post by sharing, "Presley — we love you and you are not alone."

In July, she commemorated her son's 27th birthday on Facebook, expressing her pride in the man he had become while also acknowledging his younger self as her "little boy."

Kaia Gerber, Presley's sister, also addressed her brother's struggles in recent months. In an interview with American Vogue's September issue, she eloquently discussed the impact of her brother's addiction on the entire family. Kaia described Presley as someone who was willing to openly share his vulnerabilities, stating, "I’m gonna be very human for everyone," according to the magazine.
