Police arrest 3 armed robbers after Nakuru residents raise alarm

In Nakuru, police have apprehended three suspects in connection with an armed robbery spree that terrorized local estates. The National Police Service (NPS) announced the arrests on Monday, September 21, after a swift operation and chase that began when residents alerted authorities of the criminal activity. The suspects, described as armed robbers, were initially spotted riding a motorcycle through the Manyani and Kivumbini estates.

The NPS emphasized the importance of public reporting, stating that the timely alerts from locals allowed officers to swiftly intervene. During the pursuit, police recovered weapons and the motorcycle allegedly used in the robberies. The three individuals were subsequently taken into custody at Bondeni Police Station, where they await processing and potential court appearances.

Nakuru's police force has been actively pursuing individuals involved in criminal activities, as demonstrated by their recent success. On September 14, they arrested another suspect linked to violence during a UDA delegates' meeting in Embu County.
