PlayStation Reveals New Limited-Edition Controller and Merch Collection With K-Pop Star Lisa

PlayStation has unveiled a new collaboration with K-Pop star Lisa, featuring a limited-edition DualSense controller and an exclusive merch collection. The collaboration will see the release of two unique assortments of merchandise starting October 2, followed by a full launch on October 30. The controller boasts a simple design with a soft grey color scheme, showcasing Lisa's signature makeup look through an artistic representation of her mascara-clad eyes in blue, along with the PlayStation buttons intertwined in her design.

The controller will bear an LL logo on one side and Lisa's signature on the back. Additional merchandise will include items such as totes, sweaters, hats, and stickers, expanding beyond the typical PlayStation release. The DualSense controller will initially be available for preorder directly through PlayStation, while other merchandise will be sold through Lisa's Amazon storefront.

The collaboration aligns with Lisa's solo career, which includes full albums and acting roles, and comes just before the release of her next EP, Press Play, on October 23. Lisa, originally from Thailand, rose to fame as the main rapper of Blackpink before establishing her own solo career and engaging in gaming-related projects, such as headlining a Fortnite Festival season.

The artist expressed excitement about the new collection, highlighting that gaming is a way for her to relax and be creative. Meanwhile, PlayStation faces criticism for discontinuing physical disc production and recently experienced a significant shift as Hideo Kojima moved his next espionage game, Physint, to Xbox.
