Peter Obi: ‘Explain what your friend Tinubu has done for Anambra’ – Kalu Aja to Soludo

Financial commentator Kalu Aja has questioned Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo about the benefits Anambra has gained from its reported friendship with President Bola Tinubu. In a social media post, Aja challenged Soludo to explain the specific actions taken by Tinubu and the Federal Government for Anambra. Aja pointed out that Tinubu had designated two airports in other states as international airports, but raised doubts about whether Anambra had received similar treatment.

He also questioned whether the Federal Government had provided funding for the expansion of the Onitsha River Port or the dredging of the River Niger. According to Aja, Soludo should provide evidence of the number of international companies that have established plants in Anambra during his term, as none have done so. Additionally, Aja criticized Soludo for not attracting significant foreign direct investment (FDI) to the state, despite Abia recording $150 million in capital importation since mid-2023.

Aja defended his right to criticize Soludo for supporting Tinubu but argued that the governor has not received any concrete benefits from the Federal Government. He also criticized Soludo for mocking a previous government's international FDI project in Anambra, while failing to attract such projects himself. Aja concluded by suggesting that Soludo's actions would be judged after he is no longer in office.
