Penyedia eKYC kemas kini sistem MyKad generasi baharu

Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) is enhancing the existing MyKad generation system by updating the existing electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) service to recognize the new features and security features of MyKad generation. The government agency has notified the development due to difficulties faced by some MyKad generation users during identity verification via the eKYC system.

Several joint meetings have and are being conducted with relevant agencies and eKYC service providers to address the issue and ensure smooth identity verification for the general public. JPN has provided necessary information and is monitoring the implementation of the upgrade to expedite the system adjustment process, according to the statement.

Until the upgrade is complete, JPN advises users facing difficulties in performing eKYC verification with MyKad generation to contact individual agencies or service providers for alternative verification methods. MyKad generation, launched on September 17th, is an upgrade in terms of structure, design, technology, and security to enhance citizens' identity protection.

The JPN will continue to monitor the progress of the upgrade and work closely with agencies and service providers to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The agency's priority is to ensure a smooth transition to MyKad generation without compromising the convenience of citizens seeking identity verification services.
