Meta's Muse personal AI agent tops ChatGPT, Grok and Claude for post-launch downloads

Meta's AI agent, Muse, is gaining popularity among users. For those who use Muse, there is an option to prevent their chats from being utilized in training the AI model. This can be done in three simple steps. First, click the button at the bottom of the sidebar and then repeat the action on the settings screen. Next, navigate to the Data Controls section.

Finally, turn off the toggle for "Help improve our AI models." Meta also provides other data control options, such as the "Reset Muse" feature, which permanently erases all data, including chat history, files, and active tasks. Users can further delete individual side chats by selecting them and then deleting them. Meta states that even with the training toggle on, user data undergoes scrubbing to eliminate personally identifiable information before being used for training.

However, Muse data is not shared with Meta's advertising systems. It's worth noting that Muse's privacy features differ from those of Meta's other platforms, Instagram and Facebook, which use public content from US users for training. EU users have the option to opt-out of data usage for training purposes.
