Mat Sabu visits Ahmad Madani, baby born during MAHA 2026

Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, affectionately known as Mat Sabu, paid a visit to Ahmad Madani, a newborn baby who was born during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026. The infant, fondly dubbed Baby MAHA, attracted significant attention after his mother required medical assistance while attending the MAHA event.

Mat Sabu expressed his delight in meeting Ahmad Madani and his family, sharing that the birth had garnered public interest due to the tense situation when the mother entered labour while at the exhibition.

In a Facebook post, Mat Sabu recounted the moment when the mother exhibited signs of going into labour during her presence at MAHA 2026. The incident rapidly gained traction on social media platforms following the prompt response from exhibition staff who stepped in to provide assistance. Fortunately, both the mother and the baby were unharmed, and the newborn was duly named Ahmad Madani.

Upon his visit, Mat Sabu presented the family with a gift and a contribution, acknowledging the joyous occasion as a sweet memory. He expressed his heartfelt wishes for Ahmad Madani's healthy growth, development into a righteous child, and the happiness he would bring to his parents and the entire family. Mat Sabu also conveyed his hopes of meeting Ahmad Madani again at the subsequent edition of MAHA.
