Loke tawar letak jawatan keputusan muktamad CEC, kata Hannah Yeoh

The CEC meeting on Saturday heard various suggestions and opinions before reaching a decision.

The CEC has been meeting for a long time and many suggestions were presented, as well as opinions we heard. The final decision, the final decision of the CEC, as the highest decision-making body, decided that Loke would run to take up the position. That is the CEC decision. I do not want to reveal other discussions as that is within the CEC's discussions, but I have to respect the decision made by the CEC, she said at a press briefing.

Hannah discussed the CEC's decision after Loke offered to resign as Deputy Chairman of DAP in relation to the conditional pardon given to former Prime Minister Najib Razak. On Saturday, Loke offered to take up the position of Deputy Transport Minister following the conditional pardon. Loke said that taking up the position only involves him as a member of the Deputy Ministers' body, while other Transport Ministers and Deputy Transport Ministers from DAP will continue in the government to ensure political stability.
