Kuwait influencer gets seven years in immorality and debauchery case

A fashion influencer in Kuwait has been sentenced to seven years in prison following a court ruling, according to the Court of Appeal. The lower court had already issued the seven-year sentence with labor and immediate enforcement after finding the woman guilty of drug use and inciting immorality. The Criminal Court ordered the harsh sentence, which includes immediate enforcement.

Prosecutors had charged the Kuwaiti woman with various offenses, including the use of drugs, publishing explicit images on Snapchat, and engaging in immoral acts at her home in exchange for money. Despite these charges, the Court of Appeal upheld the Criminal Court's ruling, leaving the sentence in effect. The Kuwaiti national was also accused of spying for Iran and Hezbollah, as well as being held in Oman due to social media content that violated public morals.
