Kodisang faces race against time to secure new club

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Kobamelo Kodisang is reportedly in urgent need to secure a new club before the PSL transfer window closes on September 21. The 27-year-old has reportedly been placed on an individual training program to maintain his fitness while his agent, Mike Makaab, continues to pursue potential loan options. Kodisang transferred to Sundowns from Portuguese club Moreirense in a five-year deal in 2024, but he has struggled to break into the first-team.

He made just four appearances for Sundowns during his initial stint, after joining them from Moreirense. Kodisang was loaned out to Portuguese side AVS Futebol SAD the following season, but the loan was terminated after he played only four games in six months. He subsequently returned to South Africa and signed a loan deal with Stellenbosch FC, but once again, his time with the club was unsatisfactory, with Kodisang failing to secure regular playing time.

With the PSL transfer window nearing its end, Kodisang is racing against time to find a new club. Failure to secure a move before the deadline could result in Kodisang being sidelined until the next transfer window opens in January.
