Keralam CM Satheesan’s chartered flight: no expense to government, say government sources

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan recently traveled to Malappuram by chartered flight to evaluate rainfall-related damage, which has sparked allegations of 'sponsorship' from Left organizations. The Chief Minister's office clarified that the special flight was necessary due to the expiration of the police helicopter lease and the urgency of the visit to disaster-affected areas.

They further maintained that the charter did not incur any expenditure for the government. Critics, such as the Students Federation of India (SFI), argue the use of a chartered flight violates the Oath of Office, claiming it would benefit the government.
