Jeonbuk National University partners with defense companies on career-linked program

Jeonbuk National University has formed a partnership with 15 defense companies and associated organizations to initiate a career-linked industry-academia collaboration program. This program will encompass various aspects such as education, scholarships, field training, and employment.

On Friday, the university announced that its Department of Advanced Defense Technology and Industry organized a workshop titled "Customized Talent Development and Recruitment-Linked Cooperation Program for the Defense Industry." The workshop took place on Thursday at Shilla Stay Jeonju. Delegates from the university and defense companies attended the event.

The workshop was convened to turn the memorandum of understanding on the cooperation program, which was signed on June 26, into practical results in education and recruitment. A university official explained that the workshop's primary objective was to translate the signed memorandum into tangible outcomes.

The partnership involves 15 defense companies and related organizations. Some of the participants include Hyundai Rotem, Korea Aerospace Industries, LIG Defense & Aerospace, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials, Danam Systems, and DN Sol.
