iPhone Duo wallpapers: How to download them now

Apple's iPhone Duo, slated for release in October, has already made its wallpapers available to the public, despite the new iPhone 18 Pro wallpapers not being included in the iOS 27 release candidate. The images were discovered in the iPhone Simulator included with the Xcode 27.1 beta, Apple's developer toolkit released along with the launch of the iPhone Duo app.

The collection consists of four wallpapers, two for light mode and two for dark mode, all centered around a desert scene of sand dunes against a backdrop of a distant mountain range. The transitions in the dark mode range from a soft daytime palette to a starlit night sky. These wallpapers are integrated into Xcode's simulator files, not a public download page, necessitating either the use of the Xcode 27.1 beta or waiting for the images to become more widely available online.

A simple Google search will reveal sites where high-definition wallpapers can be downloaded. Alternatively, those who prefer to wait can simply hold out until the iPhone Duo is released, with pre-orders starting on October 16 and shipping on October 23, at which point the wallpapers will be built into the software.
