Heavy thunderstorms and flash floods expected across several Saudi regions Monday

The National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast for heavy thunderstorms, flash floods, and dust-raising winds across several Saudi regions on Monday. According to the center's report, moderate to heavy thunderstorms, coupled with hail, are expected to persist in the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah areas. Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated over parts of Madinah.

Surface winds in these regions will be strong, blowing northwesterly to northerly at speeds between 20 and 40 km/h, creating conditions for dust and sand to be raised. Additionally, the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf will experience surface winds ranging from 10 to 40 km/h, with wave heights between 1.5 to 2 meters and 0.5 to 1 meter respectively, resulting in moderate sea conditions.
