General : 230,000 NUTP Members To Enjoy Batik Air Ticket Discounts

KOTA BARU: Over 230,000 members of the National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) will have the opportunity to take advantage of discounted Batik Air Malaysia flight tickets, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. NUTP president Aminuddin Awang emphasized that this initiative not only benefits union members but also paves the way for expanding networking opportunities with the private sector.

With a membership base of 230,000, this union represents a significant market for Batik Air, according to the MoU signing ceremony between NUTP Malaysia and Batik Air Malaysia. The special flight rates were signed by NUTP president Aminuddin Awang and Batik Air Malaysia corporate sales manager Pravinderjeet Singh. Aminuddin expressed optimism that this facility will encourage more teachers to join the NUTP and open the door for further private sector collaborations.

Seif Shaquille Shahril, a special officer to the Batik Air CEO, stated that Batik Air is dedicated to maintaining a strong long-term relationship with NUTP, offering travel benefits like corporate rates, student-specific discounts, and complimentary tickets, all as per the terms of the agreement. The initiative comes at a challenging time for the economy, particularly due to the oil crisis, which has heightened concerns about travel expenses.

Batik Air currently operates flights to various international destinations, including Jeddah, China, and India, offering both business and economy class cabin options.
