Ex‑TH Properties deputy GM pleads not guilty to abetting RM14,000 CBT case

Tengku Kamarolhisham Tengku Kamaruddin, a former deputy general manager of construction projects at TH Properties, has pleaded not guilty in a Malaysian court to charges of abetting a RM14,000 criminal breach of trust case. The alleged funds were meant for a commercial building project owned by Tabung Haji, a Malaysian savings and investment organisation.

The individual accused of misappropriating the money, Mohamad Hashim Mukhatap, was a construction manager at THP Timur Sdn Bhd at the time. The case is being prosecuted under Section 109 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, whipping, and a fine if convicted. Mohamad Hashim was separately charged with criminal breach of trust on September 15 for allegedly depositing the funds into his personal bank account.
