Dubai Curl Festival, the UAE's first curly hair festival, will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Cornelia's Craft Kitchen in Dubai Internet City. Organized by Oh My Knots, a community platform catering to curly, coily and kinky hair, this family-friendly festival marks a significant milestone for the region's curly hair community.

Taking place from 10am to 6pm, the festival offers a unique space for both adults and children to explore and celebrate curly hair. Visitors can expect a day filled with education, hands-on experiences, product sampling, and wellness sessions, all without a fixed schedule. Admission costs Dh100 for adults, Dh50 for children, and Dh280 for family passes, with under-4s admitted for free.

Dubai Curl Festival aims to address the unique challenges faced by curly hair in the Gulf region, where hard water, heat, and humidity impact its behavior and maintenance. Founder Gertrud Mackenzie, who built the platform around locally tested advice, emphasizes that most curl care advice online is written for other climates, and the community has been seeking guidance that reflects life in the UAE.

The festival will feature brand stands from curly hair care companies, live demonstrations, styling talks, and expert education sessions, all aimed at celebrating curls rather than correcting them.

The festival's Kids Curl Corner provides a dedicated space for younger visitors to have fun and see every curly hair type represented positively, fostering confidence in children with natural curls. Ticket prices include a 3% booking fee at checkout, with early bird tickets available at discounted rates before they sell out.
