The Apple Mac Studio (M5 Ultra) is the most powerful desktop computer that Apple currently offers, with the M5 Ultra processor and up to 512GB of unified memory. This impressive machine costs $11,299, but the extra performance over the M5 Max model is only worth it for creative or AI professionals who need the most powerful desktop computer.

The M5 Ultra model has a 36-core CPU, 80-core GPU, and 32-core neural engine, making it capable of incredible performance despite its small size. The compact, rounded-square aluminum body is unchanged from previous models, making it compact and easy to use. Despite the high base memory, the Mac Studio is particularly vulnerable to the ongoing RAMageddon crisis, with memory prices soaring over the past year.

The M5 Ultra model starts at $5,500, which is a significant increase from the previous model's $4,000 price. While incredibly powerful, the leap in performance over the M5 Max-powered Studio cannot justify that extra cash unless you are a hardcore power user.
