Adamawa APM gov candidate picks ex-NNPCL manager as running mate

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has selected Safriel Glah, a former senior executive at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), as the running mate for their gubernatorial candidate, Abdulrahman Haske, in the 2027 Adamawa State election. Glah was formally introduced as the party's deputy governorship candidate during a media briefing in Abuja on Monday.

The APM claims that the ticket is intended to merge Haske's private-sector experience with Glah's extensive public-sector, oil and gas industry experience, and three decades of service. At the event, Haske emphasized that Glah's candidacy was a strategic decision based on her competence, integrity, experience, and proven track record of service, stating, "Today marks an important milestone in our collective vision for a more prosperous and forward-looking Adamawa State."

Glah, who spent over 34 years in the oil and gas industry, brought expertise in public administration, engineering management, environmental governance, and institutional leadership. She is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and recognized for her work in engineering, sustainability, leadership development, and community service.

In accepting her role as the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Glah expressed her gratitude to the party leadership and the people of Adamawa State. She highlighted her commitment to inclusive development, opportunity, accountability, and sustainable progress for the state. The APM party officials, Yusuf Dantalle and Badejo Bello, emphasized that the Haske-Glah ticket combines Haske's entrepreneurial vision with Glah's public-sector experience, policy implementation skills, and leadership capabilities.
