Yisrael Ganz calls on government to launch broad counterterror operation

In the aftermath of a terrorist attack that claimed a life near Neveh Tzuf in the Binyamin region, Yisrael Ganz, the Binyamin region governor and Yesha Council chief, lauded the security forces for their prompt response. He expressed regret that the perpetrator, intent on inflicting harm and demoralizing the community, had been apprehended. Ganz emphasized that despite terrorism's attempts to weaken the resolve of the Israeli people, the nation would not succumb to fear or intimidation.

According to Ganz, the capture of the terrorist does not signify the conclusion of the incident. The region of Judea and Samaria is inundated with illicit firearms, and the Palestinian Authority's security forces are believed to hold tens of thousands of weapons capable of posing a threat to the Israeli populace. Given the recurrent threat, Ganz urged the Israeli government to swiftly initiate a comprehensive operation aimed at seizing illegal weapons, dismantling terrorist structures, and disarming the Palestinian Authority and its affiliated security forces.
