Woman gives birth beside dinosaur display outside Pattaya mall

A woman unexpectedly gave birth to a baby girl outside a Pattaya shopping centre beside a dinosaur display, according to news reports. The incident occurred on September 19 outside Central Beach Festival on Pattaya Second Road. The Sawang Boriboon rescue foundation was alerted to the newborn's presence near fencing around the dinosaur exhibit.

Upon arrival, rescuers found the baby lying near the fencing with its umbilical cord still attached. The newborn initially remained silent but began crying after responders came to assist. Initially, the baby's mother, a 40-year-old woman from Bangkok, could not be found. Motorcycle taxi drivers arriving at the scene provided cloth to cover the baby and held her while emergency services were contacted.

Mall security and rescue workers conducted a search of the area before locating the exhausted mother in a ground-floor toilet. The placenta had been discarded in a nearby bin. The newborn and her mother were taken to Pattaya Hospital, where initial examinations found both to be safe but required close observation. The mother, who was suffering from heavy bleeding and severe exhaustion, told officials that she was around seven to eight months pregnant.

She had developed severe abdominal pain while sitting outside the mall that morning before suddenly giving birth. The woman then went into the shopping center to wash herself before rescuers found her.
