Where are the players from the Hockey Canada scandal after acquittal?

Since their acquittal on sexual assault charges in July 2025, five former members of Canada's 2018 World Junior Hockey team have made moves in the NHL. Alex Formenton, the only player immediately eligible for reinstatement, signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Edmonton Oilers in September. Formenton was the first to return to the NHL, signing a two-year, $4-million deal with the Vegas Golden Knights in October 2025.

Dillon Dubé, the second player reinstated, signed with the St. Louis Blues in July and the St. Louis Blues in July. Cal Foote signed with the Chicago Wolves in December, but his deal with the Farjestad BK in Sweden was later rescinded. Michael McLeod, banned until Nov. 10, 2030, plays for Avangard Omsk in the KHL.
