In Hulu Selangor, a woman died when a rafting boat capsized near Kem Rimbayu on Saturday afternoon. The Malaysian Bomb and Rescue Agency (JBPM) Selangor informed that the 34-year-old victim fell from the boat while passing the first rapids approximately noon. According to a fellow victim, the rafting boat carrying the woman and five of her friends overturned in the first rapids and they fell into the water.

The victims were subsequently found at the base of the water and a crew tried to remove her from the obstacle, according to Astro Awani. Six members of Kuala Kubu Bharu Bomb and Rescue Unit rushed to the scene after receiving a call at 3:52 pm. In summary, the bomb squad carried the victim about 1km to a safe area near Kem Rimbayu before handing her over to the police.

The victim was confirmed to have died by health department officials and taken to the forensic unit at Hospital Kuala Kubu Bharu for further investigation.
