Trump says will not tolerate attempts to slow AI growth

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump vehemently criticized critics of artificial intelligence and data centers. He announced the creation of a new government AI Force, vowing to prevent the destruction of the industry. Trump stated that liberals aimed to decimate the AI industry, but he would not allow it to happen. He emphasized that the United States would cherish, help, and oversee the industry's growth.

Trump also created an AI Force to identify bad actors and appointed an AI coordinator or Czar, though he did not explain the reasoning behind this decision. Despite polls indicating that Americans largely oppose building energy-guzzling data centers in their communities, Trump remains steadfast in his support for artificial intelligence.

He dismissed growing warnings, even from top industry leaders, that AI development could pose a threat to humanity's survival by the end of the decade. Jacob Coxon, a former AI researcher, had raised alarm over the potential for AI to kill us all by the end of the decade. Trump dismissed this as a hoax, attributing it to those he cannot control.

Trump insisted that the United States could not afford to lose a technological race with China and claimed that a strong and intelligent president, like himself, was necessary to guide the country. In another social media post, Trump questioned whether the term "artificial intelligence" was accurate, offering three alternatives: superior intelligence, extreme intelligence, and supreme intelligence.

He invited the public to participate in a poll to determine the best name for this rapidly growing revolution.
