Telangana man who killed sister’s husband to ‘avenge’ her murder had been tracking court proceedings

In Telangana, G Santhosh killed his sister Vaishnavi's husband, C Hari Babu, on September 18, allegedly in an attempt to avenge her murder. Santhosh had been tracking court proceedings since his sister's death in March, worried that Babu would receive bail. His wife Sowjanya noticed a change in her husband's behavior after Vaishnavi's death, describing him as withdrawn and angry.

Following Vaishnavi's murder, Santhosh was granted bail on several conditions, and two months later, Babu was also granted bail. On September 18, Santhosh allegedly attacked and killed Babu in Nizamabad town, confessing to the murder in a selfie video and surrendering to the police. Sowjanya is grappling with the aftermath, unsure of what to do for herself and their two young daughters.
