Sisi congratulates EgyptAir on entry into global Top 50 after Skytrax Award win

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed his congratulations to the national civil aviation sector on Sunday, in response to EgyptAir's remarkable achievement of being named the "World's Most Improved Airline" for 2026 by Skytrax. In an official Facebook post, Sisi lauded the carrier's progress, stating, "I congratulate the Egyptian civil aviation sector on the outstanding achievement of our national carrier, EgyptAir, for winning the 'World's Most Improved Airline' award for 2026 from global rating agency Skytrax, advancing to 46th place globally, entering the list of the world's top 50 airlines, alongside its other international awards and recognition."

EgyptAir's remarkable success at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards in London saw the national carrier win the prestigious title of "The World's Most Improved Airline." This achievement marks a significant milestone for the airline, as it acknowledges substantial improvements in service quality, fleet modernization, and digital transformation aimed at enhancing the passenger experience.

Following this recognition, EgyptAir leapt 22 places in Skytrax's global rankings, securing the 46th position worldwide, up from its 68th place ranking in 2025.

The breakthrough comes after a strong performance throughout 2025, when EgyptAir was honored as Africa's most improved airline and was also awarded for excellence in cabin crew service and economy dining. The Skytrax World Airline Awards are determined through independent global passenger satisfaction surveys, assessing full journey service standards, digital adoption, and overall customer experience.
