‘Politik mercun papan’, Sanusi sindir DAP berkait keputusan Loke

PAS election commissioner Sanusi Nor has criticized the Democratic Action Party (DAP) for playing "flip-flop" politics. In a recent statement to FMT, Sanusi said the DAP's decision to only ask Chief Secretary Loke Siew Fook to resign from the Cabinet was "politics of the lowest sort." He recalled a previous statement by DAP leader Najib Razak about a minister possibly stepping down, but no action was taken.

Sanusi expressed frustration with DAP's tendency to change positions frequently. "DAP plays politics of the lowest sort. After saying one thing, they find reasons not to do it. Before, they said someone needed to leave the government. Then they found reasons not to let them go," he added, noting that Loke is the only DAP leader willing to resign from the Cabinet.

The decision came after a nearly three-hour meeting of DAP's Supreme Council, following speculation that DAP might take more extensive action, including leaving the government entirely. However, Loke stated his resignation was a responsible move, while DAP would remain in the government. On Thursday, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Yang di-Pertuan Agong had approved Najib Razak serving the remaining six-year sentence of his 12-year sentence in prison at home until August 23, 2028, with a RM50 million fine for the SRC International case.

Najib, 73, is currently serving his prison sentence at Kajang Prison after the Federal Penal Board reduced his original 12-year sentence to six years in February 2024. The fine was also reduced from RM210 million to RM50 million. The DAP CEC's decision was made to determine the party's stance and subsequent actions following Najib's conditional pardon.
