‘Politik mercun papan’, Sanusi sindir DAP berkait keputusan Loke

PAS election officer Sanusi Nor has labeled the DAP's decision as political flip-flopping. Speaking to FMT, Sanusi described the party's move to only dismiss Senior Deputy Chief Loke Siew Fook from the Cabinet as "politics of putting a paper on the wall." He recalled a previous statement made by former Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, who also reportedly vowed to resign but ultimately did not.

Sanusi remarked, "They pulled the thread and nothing was done. Hook, line, and sinker – it's all just fluff." He also noted that DAP frequently adopts a flip-flopping approach when making political decisions. "DAP plays political flip-flop. After this, they find an excuse not to let go. Earlier they wanted to leave the government.

Then, they found an excuse not to leave either," he added. Loke announced on Saturday, following a nearly three-hour meeting of the Central Committee Executive (CEC), that he would be the sole DAP leader to step down from the Cabinet. The decision came after concerns arose that DAP might take more comprehensive action, including leaving the government altogether following the case involving former Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Loke, however, claimed his resignation was a responsible action, while DAP would remain in the government. On the previous Friday, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Yang di-Pertuan Agong had approved Najib to serve the remaining six-year sentence as a house arrest until 23 August 2028, subject to paying a fine of RM50 million for the SRC International case.

The 73-year-old now serves his prison term in the Kajang Prison, after the Central Narcotics Bureau reduced his original 12-year sentence to six years in February 2024. The original RM210 million fine was also reduced to RM50 million. The CEC DAP decision was made to determine the party's stance and subsequent actions following the conditional pardon for Najib.
