Pemimpin PAS beritahu DAP ‘jangan banyak sangat berlakon’

PAS President Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has warned DAP not to overdo their actions following the party's decision to allow former Prime Minister Najib Razak to serve the remainder of his sentence at home. Speaking on Facebook yesterday, Fadhli questioned the move by DAP Secretary-General Loke Siew Fook to vacate the position of Transport Minister, while other ministers and deputy ministers from the party remained in office.

He asked, "If DAP really disagrees with Najib's decision to the extent that a position must be vacated, why is only one leader taking such action?" Fadhli also expressed skepticism about DAP's willingness to see the controversial decision to grant Najib full leniency at the top-level party meeting, as only one DAP representative was expected to leave the government.

Meanwhile, Fadhli questioned the eagerness of DAP Women's Division to have the pardon committee's minutes made public, while Ministry of Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territory) Hannah Yeoh, a DAP member, was a member of the committee. "If you want clarity, why wasn't anyone demanding transparency when Anwar Ibrahim was granted full leniency in 2018 before the appointment of the first Deputy Prime Minister?" he added.

Fadhli cautioned against excessive "overacting" to avoid misinterpretation, stating that the principle of pardon should be respected consistently under Article 42 of the Federal Constitution, rather than being questioned based on political circumstances.
