MQM-P wants administrative restructuring of Sindh without altering boundaries: Mustafa Kamal

Federal Health Minister and MQM-P leader Syed Mustafa Kamal has called for administrative restructuring in Sindh, without changing its boundaries. At a press conference, Kamal stated that the party wants administrative units with their own assemblies and chief executives, through which NFC funds would be directly transferred to the units. However, party chairman Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar were absent from the event, indicating ongoing internal disputes within the party.

Later, Dr Sattar held a separate press conference, claiming that six administrative units would be created in Sindh. He announced a rally on Sunday to support the demand for new administrative units and provinces across the country. Kamal argued that the 18th Amendment had divided the country into "four independent states," and the MQM-P aims to unite the nation through the creation of new administrative units.

Kamal accused the PPP of conspiring to associate the Sindhi nation with corrupt beneficiaries of the current system and predicted that the PPP would be held accountable for its governance failures. He also condemned the attacks on Saudi Arabia and pledged his party's support for any decisions the state makes regarding its defense pacts with Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
