Manning throws 2 early TD passes to Coleman to help No. 1 Texas beat UTSA 30-6

Arch Manning struggled with his passing on Saturday, throwing only two touchdown passes to Cam Coleman as No. 1 Texas defeated UTSA 30-6. This marked Texas' last game before beginning their Southeastern Conference schedule. Manning was only 16 of 32 for 161 yards and took several hard hits, eventually leaving the game with around six minutes remaining.

Coleman caught his first touchdown on a Texas interception and his second on a leaping catch in the end zone, putting Texas ahead 17-3 in the second quarter. The Longhorns led 23-6 heading into the fourth quarter, with field goals from Gianni Spetic of 52, 34, and 23 yards. Sophomore Derrick Cooper added a career touchdown run with 8:57 left on the clock.

Despite Manning's struggles, Texas' defense held strong, allowing only 143 total yards and preventing UTSA from scoring in the end zone.
