Man, 82, dies after beach fight with 76-year-old over sunlounger in Greece

An 82-year-old man has tragically lost his life after a heated altercation over a sunlounger on Vouliagmeni beach, near Athens, Greece. According to local reports, the dispute began when the elderly man and a 76-year-old individual faced off over the use of the sunlounger at the popular beach. Witnesses claim the situation quickly escalated from a verbal disagreement to a physically violent confrontation, drawing the attention of other beachgoers.

The chaos was such that screaming could reportedly be heard from the far end of the beach, as the younger man, 76, was apprehended by authorities. Additionally, a 21-year-old woman who was with him was also detained, though she was later released following the investigation. Eyewitnesses testified that the 82-year-old victim suffered a collapse during the altercation and subsequently received CPR along with a defibrillator before an ambulance arrived at the scene.

The man was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances that led to the physical confrontation and the unfortunate outcome that resulted in the victim's demise.
