MAF marks 93rd anniversary with focus on welfare of personnel, families and veterans

In Malaysia, the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) observed its 93rd anniversary with a focus on the welfare of its personnel, families, and veterans. Chief of Defence Forces Gen Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman highlighted the MAF's continued strengthening of ties with the public and expansion of defence diplomacy at various levels. The transformation of the MAF extends beyond structure and capability, encompassing mindset, culture, systems, and relationships, Malek Razak emphasized in his address to mark the 93rd MAF Day celebration at the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Base.

The theme for this year's celebration, "Ketahanan ATM, Benteng Pertahanan Negara," underscores the MAF's dedication to bolstering readiness, developing capabilities, and adapting to evolving security dynamics. The event, which also included a public carnival, drew thousands of visitors. Key highlights included a 93rd MAF Day Combat Parade, featuring 641 officers and personnel from all three MAF services, defence asset displays, exhibition booths, capability demonstrations, and interactive activities.

Additionally, several initiatives and strategic documents were launched, such as MyZULU Health, KSKO, HRMIS on Internet (HOI), and the Cyber Force Nucleus Team. Other notable releases include the Mid-Term Review Document of the National Military Strategy 2.0, the 4th Dimension Malaysian Armed Forces Plus, and the MAF Anti-Corruption Action Plan Book 2026–2030.
