I was young and naive – Tima Kumkum revisits ‘revenge marriage’ comment on Delay Show

Tima Kumkum has reflected on her first marriage, admitting that she was "young, naive and stupid" when she made the decision to marry her ex-husband. The media personality revealed in a previous interview on Delay Show that she had decided to wed her husband partly to demonstrate to a friend that she was not affected by his infidelity.

However, in her recent 'Be Inspired by Tima' Women's Conference, Tima has returned to this subject to provide context and clarify the narrative surrounding her choice. At the time, Tima was only around 20 years old and was still recovering from a previous relationship. She now acknowledges that she did not handle her pain well and that the decision was not one she would make with the same mindset today.

Initially, she was not in love with her husband, and while love eventually developed between them, she recognizes that the motivation behind the marriage was not healthy. Tima wants to warn women going through heartbreak to learn from her experience and not make significant life decisions to prove they are unaffected by others. She believes that a woman coming out of a painful relationship needs time to process her emotions before entering another relationship.

"When you are leaving a bad relationship, you don't go to the other one because you want the other one to like you. Heal before you enter into another relationship," Tima emphasized.
