KOTA BHARU, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- Five temporary relief centres (PPS) have been opened in Gua Musang following heavy rain since last night, with 221 victims from 57 families housed at the centres as of 1.33 pm today.
In Gua Musang, 220 flood victims from 56 families have been evacuated to three temporary relief centres following heavy rainfall. According to the Social Welfare Department, 144 victims are housed at Masjid Jeram Tekoh PPS, 39 at Dewan Orang Ramai Zon 3 Jeram Tekoh, and 37 at SK Jeram Tekoh. A fourth relief centre at Felda Chiku 6 Community Hall has not yet received any evacuees.
The affected areas include RKT Jeram Tekoh, RKT Sungai Asap, RKT Renok, Kampung Limau Kasturi, Kampung Serian, Batu 11 and 12, and Kampung Jelekang.
