Ganesh immersion meeting: Raichur District Administration issues strict guidelines to prevent untoward incidents

A devotee named K. Yesu, aged 46, tragically passed away on September 19, 2026, due to cardiac arrest while actively participating in the Vinayaka Nimajjanam immersion procession in Tadepalligudem. Yesu was dancing with friends when he suffered the fatal incident. Emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to revive him and pronounced him dead upon arrival.

In a separate incident that occurred on the following day, Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Jangam Bazaar, Sattenapalli in Palnadu district, three devotees were injured during a clash between two groups during the Ganesh Nimajjanam processions. The injured individuals were quickly transported to the hospital for treatment. Police arrived at the scene swiftly to restore order and ensure the safety of the remaining devotees.
