Gane Vs. Hokit Title Fight Headlines UFC 334 At MSG

Ciryl Gane, former interim UFC heavyweight champion, has officially claimed the undisputed UFC heavyweight title following Tom Aspinall's vacated title. Gane will defend his championship against controversial contender Josh Hokit at UFC 334, taking place on November 14th from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Gane secured the interim title after defeating Alex Pereira via a controversial TKO at the White House event in June.

Prior to that, Gane faced Tom Aspinall at UFC 321, but their bout was ruled a no contest due to an accidental eye poke that incapacitated Aspinall. Aspinall has yet to recover from the injury, thus paving the way for Gane's promotion. Josh Hokit, known for his outspoken and sometimes cringeworthy persona, has made a swift rise since joining the UFC in November 2025.

In just over a year, the former NFL fullback has amassed four wins, including a Fight of the Year candidate against Curtis Blaydes and a recent TKO victory over Derrick Lewis at the White House event. While Hokit's talk is certainly convincing, his actions back up his words. New York fight fans can look forward to more action at UFC 334, which will also feature a co-main event superfight between women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison and women's G.O.A.T.

Amanda Nunes. The women's superfight was initially slated for UFC 324 in January but was postponed due to Harrison's neck injury, which forced Nunes to return to competition after retiring in 2023.
