EPL: Chelsea must use international break to improve, says Colwill

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has urged his team to utilize the international break to enhance their performance following a disappointing 3-0 Premier League loss to Brentford. Despite a strong start, Chelsea faltered after halftime as Brentford scored three goals, leaving Chelsea with only seven points from their first five league matches.

Colwill acknowledged both positive and negative aspects of the team's early campaign, stating, “[There have been] some good bits, some other not so good bits.” The 23-year-old, who was not selected for England's upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures due to a knee injury, remains with Chelsea during the international break to assist coach Xabi Alonso in addressing the issues highlighted by the Brentford defeat.

Colwill believes the break can serve as an opportunity for the squad to regroup, enhance their play, and return stronger, emphasizing, “Luckily we’ve got a while now to try and improve. Hopefully, we will come out the other side flying, pick up our play, and become a better team.”
