Delhi Police head constable, wife found dead inside Narela flat

On Saturday, a tragic incident unfolded in Outer North Delhi's Narela, where a head constable allegedly shot his wife before taking his own life. The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Monu, approximately 40 years old, and his 35-year-old wife, Meenu. Police are investigating the incident, with domestic disputes possibly being a contributing factor.

According to witnesses, the couple appeared to be arguing about cooking scrambled eggs when the children left for work. The cause of death and the motive behind the crime will be determined following postmortem reports. The couple had two children, aged 13 and 11, who were not present when the incident occurred. Upon returning home, the children discovered the door locked from the inside and alerted neighbors.

Emergency services were called around 1 pm, and police found the father hanging and the mother lying in a pool of blood in the same room. The bodies have been transported to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital for postmortem examination, and the preliminary investigation suggests a suspected case of murder and suicide.
