Delhi 100-Day Innovation Challenge Offers Rs 2 Crore Prize Pool To Young Innovators

Delhi school students are set to participate in the "Meri Seva, Mera Sankalp" reel-making competition under the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan campaign, which will run until October 17. The competition encourages students to reflect on their contributions to society and the vision for Viksit Bharat @2047 by making reels on themes such as public service, kindness, civic responsibility, and nation-building. Additional competitions, including drawing and speech contests, will also be held for students aged 5-18.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has launched the Seva-First Innovation Challenge 2026 at the Delhi Technical University (DTU), aiming to foster innovation and startup infrastructure in Delhi. The 100-day initiative offers a Rs 2 crore prize pool, mentorship, and government support to young innovators. The challenge covers various states and Union Territories, including Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, and Ladakh.

Students from universities, industries, start-ups, schools, ITIs, and polytechnics will participate in the campaign. The challenge focuses on addressing real-world problems related to agriculture, waste management, education, and rural challenges. Participants are required to research national and local issues, create innovative ideas, develop prototypes, validate them, and work towards implementing practical solutions.

The Delhi government will provide necessary support, mentorship, and funding for promising ideas through the start-up ecosystem and policies.
