Car Blanche confirms full-season IMSA GTD Pro move with Aston Martin for 2027

IMSA has confirmed Car Blanche as the first entrant for the 2027 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with the team opting for a full-season Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD Pro) campaign featuring an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO. The Aston Martin Racing factory drivers Valentin Hasse Clot and Marco Sorensen will partner behind the wheel of the all-white #68 entry.

Car Blanche, formerly known as Van der Steur Racing, rebranded under Team Principal Christopher Deely in June after acquiring its assets. The team made an immediate impact by securing back-to-back podium finishes in its first two GTD starts at Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and Road America.

During its GTD Pro debut at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Hasse Clot drove with Scott Andrews and later teamed up with Sorensen at Virginia International Raceway, achieving a best class finish of fourth. Hasse Clot emphasized that the team's competitive performance has made Car Blanche stand out despite being initially on the back of the grid.

The team's primary goal has been to reach GTD Pro for years, with Hasse Clot stating that their aim shifted to entering full-time as soon as possible. Sorensen, a class winner at the Rolex 24 At Daytona and 24 Hours of Le Mans, shares a decade-long familiarity with Hasse Clot. The team is now targeting a strong 2027 championship bid, with Deely expressing the desire to field the strongest effort possible.
