Borderlands Mexico: Tesla plans massive Texas distribution center

Tesla is planning to construct a massive distribution center near Austin, Texas, covering an area of over 538,000 square feet. The project, set to begin on December 7, 2025, and complete by December 4, 2028, will be built as a lease-space build-out within an existing Office/WHSE building at Mustang Ridge. The company has filed a registration for the project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on September 1, 2025.

This expansion aligns with Tesla's ongoing efforts to bolster its logistics footprint in Central Texas, where the company has established its corporate headquarters and operates the Gigafactory Texas manufacturing complex.
