Borderlands Mexico: Tesla plans massive Texas distribution center

Tesla is constructing a 538,720-square-foot distribution center near Austin, Texas, to bolster its logistics network in the region. The privately funded project, registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on September 1, is set to commence on December 7 and conclude by December 4, 2028. The facility, located at Mustang Ridge Distribution Center I, will initially be utilized for lease space build-out and is expected to create jobs.

Nearby, Danfoss Climate Solutions has initiated a new production line in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico, to cater to rising demand from North American data centers. The expansion aims to expedite deliveries and fortify supply chains for customers in the U.S., with the majority of manufactured products destined for international markets, primarily the U.S.
