2027: Obi’ll win Lagos by wider margin – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is confident that its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will secure a wider victory over President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election in Lagos State, according to the party’s National Publicity Secretary. The party’s optimism stems from the 2023 election, where Obi narrowly defeated Tinubu, winning nine out of the state’s 20 local government areas.

The NDC candidate for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Ladipo Johnson, attributes the anticipated victory to Tinubu’s poor administration and believes that the coalition of the NDC and other parties will strengthen their position. However, Johnson acknowledges that the opposition will have to contend with voter intimidation, harassment, and vote buying.
