2027: Five APC Govs secretly supporting NDC – Isaac Fayose claims

Controversial businessman Isaac Fayose has asserted that five governors, all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are covertly backing the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The claim was made in a recent video posted on Fayose's social media platforms. He alleged that the governors have agreed to provide financial support to the NDC's election campaign efforts.

Fayose emphasized that the governors would not openly endorse the NDC or make public statements in favor of the party, as they are members of the APC. He stated that their collaboration is based on a simple request: the governors do not wish for Wike to win the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) or the state of Rivers for the APC. Fayose explained that they believe Wike is not popular in Abuja, where the APC has limited support, and that the APC is not well-received in Rivers State.

According to Fayose, the APC governors are offering up to two hundred thousand naira to polling agents in the contested regions of Rivers and FCT. These agents are required to stand against any form of rigging during the election process. He claimed that the governors are aware of their involvement and are willing to fulfill their part of the agreement, which is to prevent the publication of election results.
