Wike’s ‘Rainbow Coalition’ irrelevant in Bayelsa – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State has dismissed the significance of the emerging "Rainbow Coalition" in the state. Warman Weri Ogoriba, the state APC chairman, stated this in a recent statement. He affirmed that the party possesses the necessary structures and grassroots support to campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party's candidates in the 2027 elections.

This came in response to a statement made by Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, who claimed he had the support and political structures to secure votes for President Tinubu in Bayelsa and Rivers states in the 2027 election. Ogoriba emphasized that the APC would not be sidetracked by political alliances outside its established framework.

He affirmed the party's resolve to expand its membership, enhance internal unity, and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the elections. Ogoriba emphasized the importance of maintaining organizational discipline and collective commitment to advancing the APC and supporting its candidates at all levels. He assured APC members and supporters across Bayelsa that the party leadership would continue to engage stakeholders and mobilize support across communities.

Ogoriba reiterated the state leadership's dedication to fortifying the party's structures and working collaboratively towards the triumph of President Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
