‘Want peace for important deal’: Ex-employee, partner texted family from exec’s phone

In a tragic incident in Gurgaon, Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, a project manager at Adani Realty, was allegedly murdered by his former colleagues Anya Vats and Sanyam Sachdeva on September 6. The family of Yuvraj only discovered his body six days later on September 10 after it was found by Haryana Police in a drain. His body was cremated by the police on September 14, though the family was not informed until September 16.

Karishma Manchanda, Yuvraj's sister, expressed her anguish at not receiving Yuvraj's remains and alleged that Haryana Police did not follow proper protocol by not uploading his photo on Zipnet, a portal used to share information about missing or unidentified bodies. The family had to repeatedly check Zipnet for any updates on Yuvraj's whereabouts, but found no information until September 16.

Karishma and her friend Sahil went to Badshahpur police station on September 16 to inquire about their brother's remains, only to be shocked to learn that his body had been cremated. Despite this news, they were not granted access to Yuvraj's belongings, including his ashes, clothes, and postmortem report. Sahil revealed that the police had already given away Yuvraj's clothes as they were "stinking".

Two days after discovering Yuvraj's body, the family filed a missing person complaint at Delhi's Lajpat Nagar police station. Police revealed that Vats and Sachdeva, the suspects, had been sending messages to Yuvraj's family to keep them from approaching the authorities and maintain the ruse of Yuvraj working on an "important deal".

The family is now left to mourn the loss of their loved one, who was described by his friends as a passionate and dedicated employee. Yuvraj had even recently purchased a sherwani for his wedding, scheduled for October, just hours before his untimely demise.
