US President Donald Trump Announces 'AI Force', Says He Will Appoint 'AI Czar' To Oversee Artificial Intelligence

The administration aims to encourage and safeguard the rapidly growing AI industry, preventing what Trump called its "decimation" or "destruction."

Trump emphasized that the US would not hinder or stifle AI development but rather cherish, help, and watch over it as it expands. He compared the proposed AI Force to the Space Force, which he described as a "tremendous SUCCESS" in his first presidential term. The AI "Czar" position will be announced soon, with Trump stating that only highly intelligent individuals should apply.

Trump projected that artificial intelligence could contribute up to 25% of the US GDP and stressed the importance of maintaining America's position as a world leader in technology. He defended the expansion of AI data centers, arguing that opposition had initially been an attack on these facilities, but was now shifting to criticism of the artificial intelligence itself.

Trump also dismissed several other issues, such as Russia, Ukraine, global warming, his impeachment proceedings, and transgender matters, as "Hoaxes" orchestrated by the "Radical Left Democrats". He connected the criticism of AI to these previous political disputes, alleging an effort to weaken or destroy the AI industry.
