SPRM rakam keterangan Isa di Penjara Sungai Buloh

SPRM Chief, Abd Halim Aman, revealed that the investigation into former Felda chairman Isa Samad's statement is ongoing and will continue the following week. The statement collected from Samad, held at Sungai Buloh Prison on September 17, pertains to the issues of asset acquisition and investment by Felda and its subsidiary, Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC).

SPRM suspects that these transactions may involve wrongdoing and fraud. The inquiry covers a ten-year period from 2010 to 2020, with six new investigation papers opened and one ongoing case. By September 18, 34 witnesses have been called, and their statements recorded in relation to the investigated issues. Among these witnesses, there were former Felda and FIC board members.

Out of the seven cases, the SPRM is now focusing on allegations of fraud in the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project. Two individuals, former Felda managing director and former FIC executive manager, have been remanded in custody by the court and are now released on SPRM bail. According to SPRM, statements from 30 witnesses, including Felda and management board members, have been collected as part of the KLVC investigation, which has now concluded.

SPRM plans to file a lawsuit against the two individuals mentioned, pending approval from the Attorney General's Department for prosecution and other legal proceedings.
