#SHOWBIZ: 'It's really been a long time': Edison Chen makes acting comeback in Malaysia

George Town, Malaysia witnessed the return of Hong Kong actor Edison Chen to the big screen after a 10-year absence. Chen, 45, graced the filming location for a Chinese New Year film on September 17, accompanied by veteran actors Anthony Wong and Samuel Pang. The crowd erupted in cheers when Chen was handed the microphone, revealing his continued popularity among fans.

Chen had previously reduced his acting engagements to concentrate on his fashion business and spend quality time with family. At the ceremony, Chen expressed his excitement to re-enter the film industry, stating, "It's really been a long time, so I'm very excited to start filming. I'll do my best and continue to work hard." Wong, 65, also attended the event and expressed his delight at returning to Penang after a decade without filming.

He playfully mentioned that the city's renowned cuisine had caused him to gain weight, adding that he would need to shed it next. Pang, 49, mentioned this was his first visit to the island, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Chen and Wong again. The film, set to commence shooting on September 7, is planned to conclude by the end of the month, with additional filming locations including Kuala Lumpur, China, and Italy.
